Although it's been a relaxing summer, Marc has kept very busy. A six month period of hard work on this podcast lead the way for a more open schedule filled with much deserved relaxation. However, it's turned into a busy time as well. Marc talks about the transition from working a day job where he needed to wake up at 3am and commute 90-120 minutes into work to working from home and landing a dream job all at the same time. Marc reflects on the hard work and obstacles he's had to overcome in order to find his way to achieving longterm goals he had for himself. Most importantly, Marc wants to use his story to inspire others and make them see that they too can achieve the goals they want to accomplish in their lives. Jacky Costello's story started out in the communist environment of East Germany during the 1980's. Once her family moved to West Germany, Jacky's life and passion for cleaning began. After going through West Germany's school system and Hospitality program, Jacky found herself bouncing around several administrative positions. Her cancer diagnosis was something that really changed her life. It not only gave Jacky a different perspective on life, it also lead her back to her passion in the hospitality field. Jacky didn't expect her cleaning company to become a full time business when she started it up in the United States. Mikkel Leslie is a great example of how much life and career goals can change once the reality of actively working in a field happens. Although she majored in environmental engineering, Mikkel soon found that she wanted something different out of her life. Discovering the fact that she's more of an extrovert and introvert also impacted her life greatly. As she transitioned in and out of jobs for much of her corporate career, Mikkel began to learn things about herself that she didn't know earlier in life. Cory Kastle knew very early in life that his passions were all in the entertainment business. Edmund Lee is a person who has relied more on his intuition than on chasing after a particular passion. During his conversation with Marc, Edmund reveals how his reasoning for pursuing certain paths were influenced more by dating and the opportunity to be social rather than on any particular passion. Edmund also talks about how all of his career transitions were impacted by chance and being in the right place at the right time rather than really chasing after a particular passion. Darren W Marynuk might be one of Marc's most blue collar guests. He is from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and has worked as a production miner for most of his adult life. He also spent some time playing professional hockey as well a few years back. Being an entrepreneur wasn't on his radar until he started applying his hockey skills to acting gig he landed a few years ago. From there, Darren learned the ins and outs of television/film production by applying the same blue collar work ethic that made his successful at his day job. As Darren picked up more and more acting gigs and learned about the business, he decided to start a production company of his own. Although he is pursuing college courses in order to learn more about the tv/film production business, Darren continues to work and learn on his own terms as he builds up his company North Hollywood Productionz.
